BSA has been recognized with Stage 4 maturity level on the HIMSS Analytics Continuity of Care Maturity Model scale
Badalona Serveis Assistencials (BSA) has been recognized as a global leader in the way it uses information technologies to provide continuity of the health care, i.e. the integration of primary, specialized and social care health services. Read the news published by IM Médico (in Spanish).
HIMSS Analytics Continuity of Care Maturity Model (CCMM) is a model created to optimize the outcomes of healthcare and patient systems and defines the capabilities that organizations need to coordinate health services efficiently, at various points and with multiple providers. The model addresses the convergence between interoperability, information exchange, coordination of care, patient engagement and data analysis with the aim of managing the health of the population. CCMM reports the maturity of the care system in eight phases (from Stage 0 – “low maturity” – to Stage 7 “high maturity”). BSA has been recognized with Stage 4, which is the highest level obtained so far by a health and social organization in the analysis carried out by HIMSS Analytics.
Jordi Piera, Director of Innovation, Research and Information Technologies at BSA, explained: “The alignment of policy makers and service providers has been key to achieving this innovative model of Continuity Care. Through the CCMM evaluation we have been able to see our level of integration between the different areas of attention. An analysis of the results has allowed us to establish the way to implement future improvements.”
From the UOC-BSA Chair, we would like to congratulate Jordi and the entire team of Badalona Serveis Assistencials for the achievement of this relevant recognition.
