Open Evidence is seeking for a Junior Data Analyst to participate in projects and activities related to data analysis working in close collaboration with Data Architects and Senior Data Analysts.

We are looking for a professional who is willing to grow professionally in the field of Data Analytics and Machine Learning and appreciates the opportunity to work directly with data from different areas and with senior professionals of Machine Learning and Data Analytics.

Job responsabilities

• Elaboration of exploratory data analysis, basic pre-processing (cleaning and imputation) and statistics with R, Knime, Weka or similar. Candidate must have knowledge of R.
• Design and implementation of data transformation processes using visual tools such as Pentaho Data Integration or similar.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering.
• Knowledge of programming will be valued, particularly knowledge of Python.
• Any other qualifications or certifications related to b usiness intelligence or data mining will be considered positively.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in R.
• Exploratory data analysis and statistics.
• Data processing and transformation fundamentals.
• Advanced English level.
• Knowledge of Data Mining is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Pentaho data-integration (Kettle) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux at user level will be positively valued.

Skills

Ability to work in a team, initiative and analytical thinking and problem solving skills will be highly valued.
